Ezri Dax

Ezri enrolled in Starfleet Academy medical program in 2372, with emphasis on psychology, and was in 2374 assigned to the U.S.S. Destiny for field training, with title of assistant ship's counselor.

When the preveous host of the Trill Dax symbiont, Jadzia, died, the symbiont was immediately placed on a ship and transported back to the Trill homeworld. The Dax symbiont was in a bad shape, and the ship's doctor had to place it in a host immidiately, or it would shurely die.

Ezri have never wanted to become a joined Trill, but unfortunately she was the only Trill on the ship when the Dax symbiont was dying. So, reluctantly she agreed to take the symbiont, and become Ezri Dax.

Becoming a jopined Trill was a great strain on her, both physically and psycologically, because usually one has to go through an intesive training program to become joined. She took a leave of absence from her posting on the U.S.S. Destiny to recuperate.

In 2375 she accepted the position as station counselor on the space station Deep Space Nine, with the promotion to lieutenant junior grade.

Captured by Breen during unauthorized rescue mission to Badlands, then held captive by Dominion for execution until released by Cardassian resistance. Served aboard the U.S.S. Defiant during final battle of Dominion war.
