Enterprise Episode Guide - Season One Episode: 19
Acquisition
Mission Date: 2151/52
Another encounter with hostile aliens gave Enterprise new insight into the diversity of cultures throughout the galaxy. After an artifact obtained from a lunar survey rendered the crew unconscious, a quartet of large-eared thieves invaded Enterprise. These mysterious scavengers stripped the ship of everything they could, apparently hoping to find something of value. Commander Tucker, meanwhile, was the only crewmember not affected, and woke up in the decontamination chamber. After spying the alien thieves, Tucker was determined to come up with a plan to retake the ship.

After ascertaining that Captain Archer was the one in charge, the large-lobed aliens woke him up using a hypospray, and demanded to know the location of the ship's vault. Archer stalled for time, noting that the aliens seemed to be inherently greedy. Unwilling to strike a deal with Archer, the aliens decided to search out the vault themselves, and instructed Archer to help them load the plundered goods onto their ship. When one of Archer's captors left the captain alone, Commander Tucker briefly came out of hiding, and the two officers developed a plan.

First, Tucker used a hypospray to revive Sub-commander T'Pol. Then, he disguised the Bio-Matter Resequencing hatch as the Enterprise "vault," while T'Pol distracted the aliens and made them suspicious of each other. Tucker was then captured by the aliens, and led them to the fake "vault," where T'Pol was waiting. The Enterprise officers managed to take the aliens down, and sent them on their way. Though they learned much about a new alien culture, the crew never determined the name of this strange, greedy species.

[It was later determined that this alien species was in fact the Ferengi.]
