The U.S.S. Voyager, Registration Number NCC 74656, is an Intrepid Class vessel, and second of four as of Stardate 48315.6. She was commissioned on Stardate 48038.5 (2371 AD).

Althoug being a small experimental scout vessel, only 1130 feet long, and with a gross mass of 700,000 metric tons, she is is the most technologically advanced ship in Starfleet. She is mostly equipped for exploration and research, but she also has a formidable and impressive array of defensive and offensive weapons, making her quite ready for action if need be. Her fifteen decks allow for a maximum crew capacity of some 200 individuals, but the current crew count is 127 individuals (as of "Nothing Human").

The Voyager is also equipped with a new type of improved computer systems, that has replaced some of the traditional optical processors by gel packs containing bio-neural cells, which can organize information more efficiently and speed up response time. She also has backup isolinear optical circuitry.

Her giant warp drive engines are also a new design, making them the most efficient drives in Starfleet, capable of providing a maximum sustainable cruise speed of warp factor 9.975. In addition, Voyager's folding wing-and-nacelle warp drive system, allows her to exceed the "speed limit" of warp 5, which was established in the episode "Force of Nature", without causing dangerous damage to the space-time continuum.

In addition, Voyager has also been given the capability to land on a planet surface, something that no starship has been able to do before. This is handled by atmospheric engines, and a folding landing gear expands to rest the ship on the ground, while the saucer section is held up by a low-intensity tractor beam. Voyager's systems also include one Turbolift-system with three cars, two Holodecks, one Shuttle Bay, six Transporters, whereas four is for personnel use and two for cargo, and four Cargo Bays.

Current crew:

The crew onboard the U.S.S. Voyager, includes Commanding Officer Captain Kathryn Janeway, First Officer Commander Chakotay, Tactical/Security Officer Lieutenant Commander Tuvok, Chief Engineer Lieutenant B'Elanna Torres, CONN Officer Lieutenant JG Tom Paris, OPS Officer Ensign Harry Kim, (Hydroponics expert and Trainee Nurse, Kes,) Chef, Adviser and self-appointed Moral Officer, Neelix, the Emergency Holographic Doctor as the Chief Medical Officer, and the previous Borg drone Seven (of Nine) (Annika Hansen).
